So I  love love love different pops of color in an outfit (look at me soundin like Brad from It's a Brad Brad World lol) and todays was definitely red. To no surprise (because we sometimes where the same color scheme to work)..my lil sissy and I were in sync. Red is def gonna be a go to color for me this season and I really enjoy how it compliments and makes a statement on the simplest of outfits to make it ..well.....POP!!

So this post may be reminiscent of a couple of Sunday ago...

But hey, what can I say, I have been chillin really hard lately....so what does that mean?? No extra special OOTD's are being worn by me. I have however, been using this down time to think of really exciting posts to do in the very near future. So definitely STAY TUNED!! 

As I was doing my ritual of YouTube today, I came across another wonderful vid by Chriselle Lim. As you can tell, I am really feeling her these days, her vids are sooo unique and her fashion sense is just impeccably funky to me! (You like that new phrase I just made up huh??)

Its my Hair-i-Versary!!!

Evening to all,

I have been meaning to do this post all weekend but I have really just been enjoying it----THOROUGHLY!!

January 13th, was my 6 month Hair-i-versary and was just toooooooo excited! I am loving this natural hair journey and every day I fall more in love with my hair...at its natural state! It has definitely grown soooooo much, and if I could give one piece of advice, it would be -- Learn the products that work for YOUR HAIR, Don't compare YOUR HAIR to anyone else's, and finally BE FREE WITH IT!! This journey has not not only been about hair, but the mind, body, and soul (as cliche as the might sound, its very true).

Because this blog is about my journey in life...I thought I'd share...enjoy...

Androgynous Layers!!

So don't laugh at me....but I had a lil photo shoot in my office of today(I swear this Iphone really comes in handy lol)!!! This OOTD is inspired by a the layering post before this one and a little bit of Androgyny...

I absolutely loved my outfit today and sorry I couldn't take a full shot, but here are a few snaps that may  give a hint... 

I really loved how the jean shirt peeked its way through the sweater and I feel that the accessories tied it all together!

So on my weekly perusal of one of my obsessions (YouTube), I came across this wonderful video from one of my favorite YouTube Gurus...Chriselle Lim. She has such a wonderful eye for fashion and I really identify with her creativity and bold choices. 

Since we are all braving these crazy days of Winter, I thought it would be a great idea to share this video with you all on layering...seeing as how we as the wonderful fashionistas we are always strive to be cute in these Winter months, Layering is that perfect remedy!

Hello Love ladies!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! ( cue the balloons/streamers/and noise makers)

I hope you all were safe and had fun this NYE..2012 is def upon us...and I'm excited for it!

So if you follow me on twitter, you know that this past weekend, I went home to Atl!! Whenever I go home, I always feel a sense of calm and ease that is very invigorating and what better time to feel this than at the beginning of a new year!!

Since the beginning of my blogging adventure in July, I felt like ATL was that place that I really launched it and felt like a reallllll Blogger, lol

So what better way to bring in the day before NYE than with the Beautiful ladies of BloggerLand (ATL style) and my best gal pals!

I was so excited to attend this event, and thanks to my girl Jasmine from Fashion Rouge, I was able to get some of the last couple of tics. It was the Pre NYE Bash by Lexi Curls,Coils,and Kinks and Danielle of The Style and Beauty Doctor

It was at Sole Atlanta in Atlantic Station and this event was wonderful! Chock full of giveaways, good energy, and goodie bags!
